Meet The Editors: Chris Hay

Tuesday 19 October 2021

Chris Hay is a hugely experienced video editor at Sky Production Services (SPS) with around 25 years’ experience. Currently, Chris works across Comedy & Drama, Entertainment and News, including flagship Sky Arts show ‘Landscape Artist of the Year’, popular comedy ‘Urban Myths’, as well as Sky News’ documentary series ‘Hotspots’.

Surpassing his 22-year anniversary at SPS this year, he has specialised in onlining and worked in other areas of editing (offline storytelling). One of Chris’ recent standout projects was ‘The Russell Howard Hour’, the hit comedy show tackling all the biggest stories in the news. Working on the project from the pilot through to the current 5th series, Chris has been responsible for the online.

Kicking his editing career off at Star TV in Hong Kong, Chris made the initial move over to Sky in 1999. Since joining the original Editing department (now known as Sky Production Services), he’s only gone from strength to strength and Chris is now one of SPS’ top-tier and most accomplished editors.
