Meet The Mixers: Finn Curry

Tuesday 27 July 2021

Finn Curry is a hugely talented dubbing mixer at Sky Production Services (SPS) with more than 17 years experience. Currently, Finn works on Documentaries, Dramas, and Entertainment, covering showstopping dramedy series ‘Hitmen’, ‘Urban Myths’, high profile Sky Arts projects such as ‘Portrait Artist Of The Year’ & ‘Landscape Artist Of The Year’, as well as various Sky News documentaries.

Surpassing 13 years at SPS, he has specialised in long-form audio editing, tracklaying, and mixing, and worked across short-form Promos and Sports packages. Some of Finn’s recent highlights include ‘Primodos’, both of Sky News’ George Floyd documentaries, and numerous coronavirus pieces. However, it’s his work on ‘Hitmen’ that standouts the most. With the sound being formatted in Dolby Atmos and posing a variety of technical challenges to overcome – guns, car chases, fight scenes, Finn was responsible for the audio mixing on the first series of the all-action hit show and is currently putting the finishing touches on Series 2.

After 3-4 years of cutting his teeth on short films, Finn joined Sky Production Services as a Trainee in the Audio Dubbing department. Juggling his daily job of ingesting voice-over continuity and spending time in the audio suites, he honed his craft and secured a dubbing mixer role as soon as one became available. Now, Finn is one of SPS’ most highly skilled and in-demand dubbing mixers.
